Early Christianity

Whenever you are tempted to feel life is hard spare a thought for the early Christians in, lets say, 500 AD.

Imagine being the only Christian for miles around, imaging no phones, IT connectivity and certainly no Facebook. Imagine that, even if you did have some texts, you might not be able to read and write so you HAD to pass news and views through the retelling of stories told to you and that most of your day was taken in surviving.

The fact that these people were the ones who spread the faith in the UK should prevent us from grumbling about our lot. The challenges they faced were huge and yet their simple faith and their personal walk with The Lord saw them through, and through them the Good News continued to be shared.
